In more detail, it is:
- Simple, so that it's easy to use... unless you have complicated needs.
- Flexible, so that it will meet most backup needs.
- Lightning-fast, being far quicker than some competing backup programs.
- Robust, so that it works reliably - even after a hard reset!
- Incremental, so that only the changed files are backed-up.
- Automatable, as it can be automatically run at regular intervals by CronTab.
- Efficient, since it needs little memory.
- Open Source, under the GNU GPL license.
No other backup program comes close - at least going by favourable comments from many users! And of course, it runs happily on all Psion models (except perhaps the original Psion 5). |

| The fourth release of FastBackup can be downloaded from http://www.freepoc.org/viewapp.php?id=45 . It is a major update, fixing several important bugs, it now seems very robust, and also is very easy to use (like the third release).
If you were unable to get FastBackup to work on your Psion before, or you found FastBackup too difficult, please try this release...

| There is a new release of FastBackup available from http://www.freepoc.org/viewapp.php?id=45 , which has a good Beginner mode added. Until EpocZone allows me to log-in, I cannot update this page to reflect the new version :-(

| IF YOU ALREADY DOWNLOADED the new version, please re-download it. I made a mistake in compiling the SIS installation, so FastBackup was unusable. Sorry for any trouble :(

| The above comments are now woefully out-of-date, and should be ignored! I would delete them if I could, but there doesn't seem to be that option...
Also, I would update the screenshot of FastBackup, but uploading of screenshots still seems to be broken :-(
