 Symlink

Category: Applications:Utilities
Description: Symlink is a shortcut utility for EPOC devices like the Psion Series5 and 5mx. It provides link files to files and folders, as well as E-mail addresses and URLs. Launching a Symlink file will open the file in the appropriate app, tell System to switch to the appropriate folder, create a new e-mail message to the addreesee or tell Web to open the appropriate URL. Yet there is more.

The key feature of Symlink is that as well as files, you can embed Symlink objects into the documents of other apps, like Data, Word and Agenda. Thus you can add links to external files that can be opened by a few taps. You can store E-mail addresses in Data, and readily create new messages. You can even replace embedded Sheet (and other objects with external links to Sheet files, thus allowing you to share Sheets between several Word files or to use the Sheet as an independent entity.

Symlink can be tried for free for 28days, after which it must be registered.

With very few new releases of software, no new PDAs, and very little site maintenance happening, should the EPOC Zone be shut down?
Yes, it's pretty much useless...
No, it's one of the last Psion outposts!
